Message from the Founder and President, Lynn Ivey
Welcome to The Ivey®, Charlotte’s unique, home-like option for daytime-only socialization and care for older adults. This beautiful lodge-style home-away-from-home has been built to honor my parents—my mother, now deceased, who had Alzheimer’s disease, and my father, thankfully in good health, who was her loving caregiver. Aging in place in her home of 46 years was my mother’s heartfelt desire and she was able to do that because our family chose adult day care as our preferred solution for her socialization and care.
You may have personally experienced, or know someone who has experienced, the impact of Alzheimer’s and other types of memory loss and related chronic illnesses. Adult day care services provide relief and hope to those families.
