Rick Menze
Rick Menze relocated to Charlotte from the San Francisco Bay area in 1992 and ultimately retired from SEM products after 20 years of service, 15 as president. During his career at SEM, Rick served on various trade association boards and committees including those relating to the Automotive Service Industry Association, Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association and The Paint and Body Equipment Association. Rick brings a wealth of business expertise and community participation. During his 30 years living in Charlotte, his community involvement spanned a variety of board and committee roles including Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools, Catholic Diocese, St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and leader of the 60+ regional members of The Order of Malta, a lay Catholic Order, in activities relating to service to the sick and the poor and defending the Catholic faith. Rick has served in various board and committee capacities at Carmel Country Club, most recently on the Search Committee for a new general manager. He established and served as chair for 7 years on Carmel’s Employee Assistance Fund committee that awards scholarships to employees of Carmel Country Club. More than $500,000 has been raised with over $200,000 awarded in scholarships, needs based grants , and student loan reduction grants to deserving Carmel employees and their families.
Rick was married to Dorothy for 46 years until her passing in early 2022. They have 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
