Don't wait for the hard days to start protecting the good ones!
Familes who start early aren't giving up - they're getting ahead. Most families wait longer than they wish they had. It's not because they don't care. It's because their loved one still seems "okay", and stepping into a program can feel like giving something up. Starting early makes it easier - because your loved one can still adapt, connect, and feel successful.
We now know through science and 18+ years of experience that the earlier someone engages in social connection, movement, and meaningful activities, the longer they hold onto who they are.
Our Afternoon Club isn't about care. It's about quality of life. It's about laughter, friendships, engagement, purpose, and belonging --while those things can still be fully felt.
Families who start early are protecting more good days
The best time to begin is now, while it still feels early.
“The Ivey is truly an exceptional place with incredible leadership and staff. The brilliant programming is equal parts education, memory wellness, and just plain fun. She has forged new friendships, improved cognitively, and refers to everyone at The Ivey as her extended family. The Ivey has been a lifeline for our mother and a total game-changer for our entire family.” ~Janice, family caregiver
